The Minnesota Lottery will strengthen its operations with leading technology

Under the terms of a seven-year contract, Scientific Games agreed to modernize the Minnesota Lottery. Importantly, the new contract can be renewed for up to three additional years. The deal sees the leading software and solutions provider deliver its industry-leading technology, which will replace the Minnesota Lottery’s legacy system. As a result, the Lottery will benefit from increased performance, enhanced security and growth opportunities, while bolstering its digital and retail networks. The deployment of the innovative, flexible, cloud-based solution will be facilitated via Scientific Games’ Momentum ecosystem, renowned for its seamless integration capabilities, optimization features, and security. Tapping into this leading technology, the Minnesota Lottery will propel its retail and digital offering, unlocking growth opportunities and generating more proceeds for state programs. It was back in 1990 when the Minnesota Lottery launched, and since then, it has helped generate more than $4bn to education, public safety, health, problem gambling and other programs across the state.

The collaboration complements Scientific Games’ expansion

Finally, the executive pointed out: We will work closely with the Minnesota Lottery's team to deliver another successful go-live, moving the Lottery into a sustainable future. Adam Prock, the Minnesota Lottery’s Executive Director, was similarly excited. Finally, Prock pointed out: We were seeking modern technology and a solution focused on service and partnership. Scientific Games was aligned with our vision for growth. The latest contact with the Minnesota Lottery complements Scientific Games’ ongoing expansion. In fact, in the last 18 months, the company inked three other major technology deals, agreeing to deliver its innovative software and solutions to the New Mexico Lottery, Lotto New Zealand, Loto-Québec and the Ohio Lottery. On the other hand, in the last 10 years, Scientific Games has helped modernize and convert the operations of more than 50 lottery operators across the globe.
