The Australian Communications and Media Authority has taken decisive action by issuing a blocking order against four organizations found violating local gambling laws.
ACMA puts the crack on several illegal gambling websites
The four websites, Slot Mafia, Top Aussie Pokies, Polymarket, and Spinanga, have come under fire for violating the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. In response, the regulator has ordered Internet Service Providers to block these sites. With this latest action, the list of blocked websites has reached 1,297, and the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) shows no signs of backing down. Since it began this initiative in November 2019, ACMA has been relentless in its pursuit to protect users by ensuring only licensed operators have access. Though details are scarce, the regulator's efforts to curtail unauthorized access continue. Bans have been enforced in June and July, underscoring the watchdog's determined strategy to keep these companies from operating within the nation.
