The internationally recognized consulting firm, catering to the betting, gaming and online gaming industry, GMA Consulting, announced the appointment of the former MGM Resorts International executive and ex-investment banker with Goldman Sachs, Alex Dixon, to the key role of Senior Advisor.

Joining the company, the executive, who has a track record in leading large-scale financing, as well as mergers and acquisitions and property openings, will oversee strategic growth processes. Notably, as Senior Advisor, Dixon will focus on speeding up the growth of real estate and capital development clients. In addition, he will play a major role in the entry of new markets, processes related to optimizing multi-state operations, as well as other important initiatives for GMA Consulting in North America, Asia and the Middle East. Overall, Dixon has more than 20 years of professional experience. Throughout his career, he held important senior-level roles at recognizable gaming and entertainment companies, including Caesars Entertainment, MGM Resorts International and Resorts World Las Vegas. Moreover, Dixon was also employed by Goldman Sachs, where he held a central role in a number of important transactions, including Disney's landmark $7.4bn acquisition of Pixar, and others. During his time at MGM Resorts, Dixon held a key role in the company's $825m sale of Circus Circus Las Vegas, as well as the $960m development of MGM Springfield. Besides being a proven leader with solid experience in major transactions, GMA Consulting's new Senior Advisor is a renowned responsible gambling advocate. Currently, he serves on the boards of both the American Gaming Association and the International Center for Responsible Gaming.
