An incredibly fortunate man is starting his week on a high note after winning a much larger prize than he thought. That’s the story of one Baxter, Victoria, Australia man, who became a millionaire overnight after trying his luck with TattsLotto ticket.

TattsLotto drawing produces four division one winning entries

The fortunate player purchased his winning 25-game Quick Pick entry at Baxter Newsagency, Shop 6 at 96 Baxter-Tooradin Road in Baxter. Entering TattsLotto draw 4683 on June 6, 2026, he emerged as one of the four division one winners. The draw in question saw winning numbers 10, 31, 44, 30, 43 and 25, along with supplementary numbers 4 and 38 drawn. There were a total of four division one winning entries from TattsLotto’s draw 4683, two from Victoria and one each from South Australia and Queensland. Each of the winners is entitled to a life-changing AU$1.6m ($1.1m) prize.

The player thought he won AU$1.6k and was surprised to hear he became a millionaire

An official from The Lott contacted the Baxter man to give him the good news on Monday morning. Interestingly, the fortunate player was surprised by the call, considering that he initially thought that he won a significantly smaller prize. Wow! I won more than I thought, the player, whose identity wasn’t publicly revealed, exclaimed. That’s fantastic. I was confused to why you were calling me. I had a quick look at it over the weekend, and I thought I’d won $1,600 – obviously not, the incredibly fortunate man added. The lucky player, who became a millionaire overnight, admitted that the win will be of much help not only to him, but to people around him, too. I’ve got to process this news before I can celebrate, but maybe a nice dinner will be on the cards, the fortunate player added. Finally, the winner thanked the lottery official for the call.
