I checked the win last night and I haven’t slept a wink. I laid next to my phone with the prize amount right beside me all night - couldn’t take my eyes off it, the winner recalled. Moreover, the woman revealed that she was in the waiting room at the hospital on Thursday and felt bored which is why she decided to give Powerball a try to pass some time. After winning the whopping jackpot, the woman said that she still can’t believe it and needs to pinch herself. The winner further added: I told my husband that we’d won last night and he was in so much shock. I think it will take a while before we can both believe the news. According to the Launceston grandmother, the lottery prize comes at the perfect moment, considering that she ran into some health issues. Thankfully, with AU$5m coming her way, the woman can now retire. Besides spoiling her children and grandchildren by buying them houses, the fortunate player said she won’t forget her beloved dog, which will be even more spoiled.
