The winner decided to try his luck with a $20 scratch-off after seeing that there were no $10 tickets left. While the man admitted that he usually doesnβt buy such pricy tickets, he admitted to wanting to splurge. The lucky man purchased his ticket at the AC&T convenience store in Hagerstown. The fortunate player, who is employed as a quality control worker, admitted that his colleagues often scan their tickets quickly to uncover if they have won. Unlike his colleagues, the fortunate man said that he takes his time when scratching off tickets. On the day he scored the whopping $500,000 top prize from Gifts of Green, the winner said that he nearly hit the ground. I almost fell over when I saw the amount, the winner said, recalling the moment he won the sweet $500,000 prize. Asked about his plans for his newfound fortune, the Washington County man admitted that he intends to pay off his house.
Gifts of Green features four top prizes of $500,000 each
Each Gifts of Green ticket costs $20 and grants players a chance to win prizes between $20 all the way up to $500,000. Available to Maryland lottery players, the game launched in October, granting players a chance to win seven life-changing prizes of $500,000 each. After the most recent top prize win, now, four prizes of $500,000 each remain in play. On the other hand, a tier-two prize from the Gifts of Green ticket awards $25,000 and there are four such prizes up for grabs. A tier-two prize awards $5,000 and there are 31 such prizes in play from the $20 ticket. Within the lower prize tiers, between $1,000 and $20, thousands of prizes are up for grabs. The overall odds of winning any prize from the $20 ticket are 1 in 2.83.
