Officers from Constable Mark Herman's Criminal Investigation Division launched an investigation into a suspected illegal gambling site after receiving tips from the public. They focused on a business located in the 10700 block of FM 1960 Road in Huffman. Their undercover operation confirmed the reports that illegal gambling activities were occurring at this location. Consequently, officers raided the establishment, shutting it down and arresting one individual. All complaints and tips can be made anonymously. At the site, officers seized illegal gambling equipment and documents verifying the unlawful activities. Additionally, investigators found and confiscated $3,000 believed to be illicit gambling proceeds. One person, allegedly working as a security guard at the venue, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance. Authorities noted that the individual lacked the necessary Texas state license to serve as a security guard. While the suspect is currently charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, further charges may follow as the investigation continues.
