South Carolina couple transforms lunch date into a $500K lottery win

Initially, they planned to buy a Palmetto Cash 5 ticket but at the last minute decided to purchase a scratch-off, choosing Cash Money instead. Soon after, they were brought to tears, overwhelmed by the realization they had won $500,000. Initially, the woman joked she might have won $1,000, but then she noticed more zeroes than expected. Cash Money has odds of 1 in 1,560,000 to win the top prize. The game is still active, with two more top prizes waiting for perhaps another lucky couple in the state. The QuikTrip store will also benefit from the win, receiving a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
