Brightstar inks seven-year contract with the lottery operator
On Monday, the company announced that it signed a new seven-year contract with the lottery operator in Washington state. This means the operator will continue to benefit from Brightstar Lottery's cutting-edge technology and gain access to new lottery terminals and self-service vending machines. Washington's Lottery and Brightstar Lottery first partnered in 1996. Building on the success of this long-standing alliance, the Lottery has chosen the company again to enhance its offerings across the state with industry-leading equipment. The agreement notably extends their partnership through June 30, 2036. Brian Bennett, Washington’s Lottery Director, expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing success of their collaboration. For 30 years, Brightstar has helped Washington's Lottery remain a leader in providing retailers and players with innovative and convenient lottery experiences, including self-service and cashless solutions, he said. Bennett added, We look forward to continuing our long-term partnership by deploying Brightstar's latest lottery technology over the next ten years.

Under a new seven-year agreement, Brightstar is set to enhance the central system for the Lottery operator by providing the most up-to-date lottery system available. This agreement includes the delivery of 3,700 Retailer Pro S2 lottery terminals, which come equipped with features for ticket verification and digital marketing displays aimed at players. The Retailer Pro S2 terminals are highly regarded for their reliability, exceptional performance, and compatibility with various peripheral devices, all while meeting the evolving needs of lottery retailers. Additionally, Brightstar Lottery will supply 2,200 GameTouch 28 vending machines as part of this collaboration. These vending machines are distinguished by their efficiency and ease of use, significantly enhancing the player experience. Furthermore, the partnership includes the rollout of 100 GameTouch20 vending machines by Brightstar Lottery. Commenting on the new agreement, Scott Gunn, Chief Operating Officer for North America Lottery at Brightstar, expressed pride in continuing a three-decade partnership with Washington's Lottery. Gunn also highlighted how the innovative system solutions and retail equipment provided will drive growth for Washington's Lottery, offer fun yet responsible experiences for players, and support the funds raised for educational and other beneficial causes in Washington.
