The opening of Alto marks a milestone moment
The newly opened restaurant on the 17th floor of the Wind Creek Chicago hotel promises a heightened dining experience. At Alto, guests can indulge in a sophisticated menu featuring grilled steaks, handcrafted pastas, and fresh seafood. The restaurant combines modern culinary artistry with sweeping views, adding to the amenities available for Wind Creek Chicago Southland guests. The opening of Alto follows a partnership formed in 2023 between Wind Creek Hospitality and Chef Fabio Viviani. Under this multi-concept collaboration, Chef Viviani's team also managed other dining venues at Wind Creek Chicago, such as the popular seafood and oyster bar, Shuck It. This partnership has now culminated in the grand opening of Alto, which is described by Wind Creek Hospitality as offering stunning skyline views, bold Italian flavors, and world-class hospitality, establishing a Chicago-caliber culinary destination in the Southland region.
The new Italian steakhouse promises exceptional hospitality and refined flavors
Roger Kuehn, the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Wind Creek Chicago Southland, expressed excitement about Alto, stating, This marks a significant milestone for Wind Creek Hospitality—not just for our resort, but for the entire region. He further highlighted, From the outset, our goal was to elevate the standards in the Southland, and with Alto, we are proud to redefine Chicago's culinary scene just beyond the city's skyline. Chef Fabio Viviani shared this enthusiasm, noting, With Alto, we aim to enhance the dining experience by offering refined flavors and exceptional hospitality in one of Chicagoland's most dynamic dining venues. He added, The restaurant embodies approachable elegance with vibrant character—precisely what the Southland deserves. Alto is the newest addition to Wind Creek Chicago Southland, welcoming guests with its Italian steakhouse offerings. This opening follows a year of significant developments, which included a new spa, luxury hotel, and a cutting-edge casino. Wind Creek Chicago Southland is operated by Wind Creek Hospitality, an entity managed by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, the only federally recognized Indian Tribe in Alabama. Through Wind Creek Hospitality, the tribe oversees nearly a dozen hotel and casino resorts, as well as racetracks in Alabama and Florida.
