Moti Malul and Natalie Toohey step down from their roles
On Friday, the company shared that Moti Malul, CEO of Aristocrat Interactive, will be leaving his position. He will officially step down in March 2026 following the end of his notice period and other contractual commitments. In a separate announcement, Aristocrat confirmed that Natalie Toohey, the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, has also decided to move on after nearly seven years in her role to seek new challenges. Aristocrat has already identified successors for these key positions. After an extensive global search, Dylan Slaney has been chosen to lead Aristocrat Interactive as the new CEO. He is set to begin his role on November 3, 2025, pending necessary regulatory approvals. Equally significant, Barry French has been named as the successor to Toohey, taking on an expanded role as Chief Corporate Affairs and Marketing Officer. Despite stepping down, Toohey will ensure a seamless transition, offering her insights and support under a consulting arrangement. Earlier in the year, Aristocrat joined other major gambling companies in partnership with Hasbro by signing new multi-year licensing agreements.
The C-suite appointments complement Aristocrat's growth strategy
Stepping into the CEO role at Aristocrat Interactive, Slaney will now report directly to Trevor Croker, the Managing Director and CEO of Aristocrat Group. The same arrangement holds for French, who will juggle dual responsibilities. Slaney will operate out of London, UK, while French will be positioned in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Reflecting on these significant leadership changes, Croker expressed his enthusiasm: As we embark on a new fiscal year, I'm thrilled to announce these leadership appointments. They reinforce the remarkable progress we've achieved and will propel us forward in our strategic endeavors. He further remarked: It's an honor to welcome Dylan and Barry to the Aristocrat executive team. Both bring a values-driven leadership style and a collaborative, customer-focused approach. Slaney earned a B.A. in Business Studies from the University of Derby and has a history of helping businesses grow by prioritizing customer needs, leading to significant transformations. Before joining Aristocrat Interactive, Slaney was at the helm of Light & Wonder's iGaming division as CEO. In contrast, French holds a B.A. in Political Science from Bates College and an MA in International Affairs from Columbia University. With over 35 years of experience, he has honed his leadership skills across various sectors, including aerospace, defense, transport, and technology.
