Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is not a particularly easy game, as the ITV game show stands to offer its winner a £1m jackpot, and now - a seventh person in the UK has been able to secure the top accolade. One Roman Dubowski was crowned as the seventh winner of the game show in the country after he secured the top prize.
IT specialist had nothing to lose when he applied for the show
The 15th and final question was particularly tricky, if you haven’t ever braved James Joyce’s magnus opus, Ulysses, but may have been an easy guess otherwise. It was: Used since 1876, which trademarked logo is described in the James Joyce novel Ulysses and depicted in works by Manet and Picasso. It was Bass Ale, bringing Dubowski’s his coveted win and the specific distinction. Upon answering the question, Dubowski admitted - he couldn’t fully grasp the reality of what had hapepned, acknowledging that it didn’t sink in until later. The man didn’t really think too much about his going on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. He had tried once before when Chris Tarrant was host, but was never drafted. Applying again, he thought: Got nothing to lose. Following his win, Dubowski had a reflective time at home. He didn’t really go on a bender but rather, enjoyed a cup of tea instead. He then spent some time to muse on what had happened in the 24 hours before. Dubowski also told family members, including his sister, who was happy for him. For his part, Dubowski also chose to share some of the prize money with his niece and nephew. As to what to do with his share of the money, the retired IT specialist said he would be looking into buying a new home, but also treat himself to trips to South America and New Zealand.
