Playnetic breaks ground in Canada’s online casino sector
Playnetic has successfully met the necessary regulatory standards, enabling it to offer its curated selection of games both locally and with regulated online casinos within the jurisdiction. This achievement could also pave the way for further expansion into the country, particularly as Alberta considers the possibility of regulating and expanding its framework. Dan Phillips, CEO of Playnetic, expressed enthusiasm about the company gaining this crucial regulatory approval, which allows it to advance further into the North American iGaming market, marking Playnetic's entry into the Canadian market. The new license not only secures our initial entry into Canada but also reinforces Playnetic’s standing as a trusted provider in the iGaming industry, highlighting our dedication to compliance and operational excellence, Phillips stated. Julian Borg-Barthet, CCO of Playnetic, shared similar sentiments about this milestone, which strengthens the company’s position in the dynamic iGaming ecosystem and marks an important market entry for them. We are confident that, over time, this license will enable us to expand into existing markets and emerging regulated provinces, such as Alberta, Borg-Barthet remarked, indicating the company’s ambitions for Alberta should the opportunity arise, and outlining larger strategic plans for Canada as a whole.

Playnetic has been expanding its presence worldwide by negotiating significant agreements. Earlier this month, the company formed a partnership with REEVO, a developer of casino games and a provider of aggregator solutions. In March, Playnetic explored a similar opportunity with Microgame, entering the Italian market and collaborating with over 60 operators. The company has created several popular slot games, including Lucky Lucy Rainbow Party, Lucky Licks, Hysteria, Miners Are Wild Ca$hRush, and Angry Zeus Jackpot.
