SBC Events has provided a recap of the influential SBC Summit Malta, which evolved from CasinoBeats Malta into a prime meeting and networking event for Europe's iGaming elite. The summit drew over 6,000 professionals from Malta and across Europe to the InterContinental Hotel, hosting the inaugural edition of the newly named event. Taking place on Wednesday, June 11, the event was officiated by Malta's Minister for the Economy, Enterprise, and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri, who participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Bringing the European iGaming elite together
The event has significantly broadened the scope and impact of the original, presenting various stages and conference tracks encompassing casino, sports betting, regulation, affiliation, payments, emerging technology, and more. SBC Events has received positive feedback, including an endorsement from Casumo CTO Cristina Turbatu, who remarked: The organization and structure are excellent, and the overall quality feels top-tier, providing a very enjoyable experience. RubyPlay CPO Dr. Eyal Loz also praised the event, noting: The size is ideal—it’s large enough to meet many interesting people and have productive meetings, yet small enough to navigate easily. The organization, location, and panels all impressed me. It has been outstanding. Kindred Group CEO Nils Andén was another industry figure who expressed his approval of the event’s new format: I was able to connect with the individuals I anticipated seeing and was pleasantly surprised by others. SBC fulfilled its promise to bring the right people together. The event surpassed its intended goals and targets, gathering key decision-makers from the region as well as from the global iGaming and sports betting markets. It attracted more than 2,100 operator representatives and 750 affiliates focused on player acquisition. Rasmus Sojmark, SBC CEO & Founder, was equally pleased with the event and confirmed its return next year: Although we had strong numbers and met our promises, the most important aspect was the palpable excitement I observed while walking the show floor, entering the conference rooms, and attending dinners and parties, Sojmark commented.
The stage is already set for next year's edition of SBC Summit Malta
Sojmark expressed his gratitude for the feedback the event received and took the opportunity to thank those specifically involved in bringing it to life. These events highlight the significant role the gaming industry plays in the local economy, stated Malta Gaming Authority CEO Charles Mizzi. He added, I was genuinely impressed with the setup and the number of participants. If we merely stay behind our desks and do not engage in events like this, we won't truly grasp the industry's dynamics. The event attracted a substantial international audience, with 53% of attendees traveling to participate in SBC Summit Malta. This summit also marked the debut of the INFINITY Party by SBC in the country—a first for Malta—previously held at SBC Summit, SBC Summit Rio, and SBC Summit Americas. Following the successful launch of this industry event, SBC Events has announced that the SBC Summit Malta will return on April 28-30, 2026.
