Their data revealed that 93% of the turnover came from just four games: Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Valorant, and League of Legends. Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 dominated, accounting for 41% and 31.8% of the total betting activity, respectively. Valorant and League of Legends contributed 11.7% and 8.5% of the turnover, but there's more to the story. League of Legends actually had the highest average bet size. Beyond the dominant 93%, Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty, and Rocket League also contributed to the betting turnover. DATA.BET further examined the timing of wagers, finding that 29.1% were placed before matches, while 70.9% were made live, showing a strong preference for live betting as events unfold.

The company recognized genuine reasons behind this trend, particularly highlighting that esports involve numerous variables that can only be addressed after in-game events unfold. This dynamic reduces the likelihood of bettors placing pre-game wagers, as they prefer to track developments and make decisions accordingly. Player Props, for instance, accounted for 11.8% of Counter-Strike 2's total turnover, with popular bets including Player with Most Kills and Player with Most Deaths.
