The upcoming CFRO steps into the role on November 1

She is set to join the Nederlandse Loterij, where she will be pivotal in managing the largest gambling operator in the Netherlands. She'll be overseeing strategic operations and working closely with the lottery’s key executives, including CCO Arno de Jong, CTIO Maartje Geven, and CEO Arjan Blok. Bakker brings a wealth of experience, having held various senior management positions throughout her career. She has also worked extensively in risk and financial management roles. The Nederlandse Loterij announced that Bakker will officially take on her CFRO responsibilities starting November 1, 2026. She expressed her enthusiasm in contributing to the organization, which offers secure and responsible lotteries and online games, benefiting society with its proceeds. Bakker is eager to support the growth of the Nederlandse Loterij and enhance its contributions to social causes. Raymond Knops, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, echoed this excitement. He welcomed Bakker to the board, praising her professional expertise in finance and risk management as a perfect match for the role. Knops emphasized that with Bakker's arrival, the board is fully prepared to achieve the Dutch Lottery's strategic goals, underlining its commitment to responsible gambling and its significant contribution to sports and exercise. Bakker joined Bovemij Group in 2019, serving as CFRO and a board member, but she confirmed her resignation from this role prior to her new appointment. Her impressive career includes C-suite roles at Onderlinge Waarborggroep and Achmea Group, among other notable companies.
